[Empire Earth is a strategic game that involves historical battles and wars. At the start of the game, players can either create their own empire or play a quick battle. The idea of the game is for gamers to get a sense of history and to develop strategic plans and skills needed for their empire to survive. As a gamer, the player can either become a great leader ending up in a higher class or become a farmer and someone in a lower class. It is a great game for a history class and I advise any history teacher to try this game out. Below is a sneak peak to Empire Earth and I hope you enjoy playing yourself!]

Connecting [Empire Earth] to the classroom
[Empire earth is a computer game that shows a variety of historical battles and skirmishes. During the game-play you can become a great empire by tending to the people's needs ,by collecting different resources and by developing a great army. A group of students can learn from this game by becoming more aware of how empires survived back then and by giving them a sense of how government and money was dealt with during the time periods of the game. ]
Connecting [Empire Earth] to technology (if it is not a technology enhanced game)
[To play Empire Earth, students must use a computer. Students must understand how to use the computer to play this game.]
[This game does instill and inspire student learning and creativity. Students get to create and build up an army. With their army, they will decide how to use their resources. They will have to put thought into their decisions or they may suffer defeat. These decisions and their consequences are digital learning experiences as stated in the NETS guidelines. As a teacher, I can use this game to show what it was like during the time period and what kinds of resources and decisions civilizations had to make. Also, it would show what went into becoming a great civilization. This is also stated in NETS in number three, "Model digital age work and learning." Ultimately, as a teacher, I will use this game as a learning tool.]
